Forum member marnitasteeth is very concerned about her granddaughters teeth, specifically the upper four front teeth which, according to marnitasteeth, have dissolved away leaving only the roots. marnitasteeth asks:
"What prognosis would be appropriate in terms of these teeth falling out; will they fall out naturally or should they be removed?"

It is difficult to know exactly what the prognosis of those teeth falling out without having all the details available.
However, I would highly encourage that your granddaughter’s parents seek the advice and treatment of a dental professional. Not only is the underlying problem of dental decay clearly an issue here, but there is possible other problems that may include discomfort, infection, and effects on the development of permanent teeth.
Solid advice from Jonathan.
Having the 4 front teeth dissolve away sounds like baby-bottle caries. I suspect apple juice in a bottle or sippy cup.
Those damaged roots are vulnerable to infection. That’s never a good thing as infection can spread dangerously from there.
Seek help from a dentist ASAP.
