tooth decay.
More Dental Care Quick Tips
- First Dental Check Up: It's very important for your child to have his / her first dental check up before their first birthday. Baby teeth serve important purposes such as helping the child to speak normal and clear, and to chew naturally. Baby teeth also hold a place for permanent teeth to come in properly. The best way to keep your child's teeth healthy are regular dental check ups.
- Use Fluoride: When used on a regular basis, fluoride helps to prevent tooth decay in older kids. Fluoride also aids in developing strong teeth in younger children. Many parents may not be aware that most bottled does not contain fluoride.
- Eat Healthy: A healthy and balanced diet is essential to maintaining good oral health. Foods containing carbohydrates and sugars come in contact with the germs and bacteria in our mouth that cause plaque. Snacks should be limited to help prevent cavities.
