Fluoridation Ineffective Harmful

"Fluoridation opposition is science-based and growing," says Paul Connett, PhD, FAN Executive Director, who has co-authored the upcoming book, "The Case Against Fluoride: How Hazardous Waste Ended Up in Our Drinking Water and the Bad Science and Powerful Politics that Keep it There." Co-authors are James Beck, MD, PhD, professor emeritus of medical physics at the University of Alberta in Calgary; and Spedding Micklem, DPhil, professor emeritus at Edinburgh University. "We have spent many years investigating water fluoridation and the toxicity of fluoride and we are dismayed that commentators are willing to repeat, without verification, pro-fluoridation statements that disparage scientists and citizens who oppose the practice," says Connett. "FAN's website http://www.FluorideAlert.org has a wealth of scientific information indicating that water fluoridation is neither safe nor effective," says Connett. "In fact, mounting evidence shows that it is harmful to large segments of the p

Fluoride in water supply is slow poison

The same amount of Fluoride in a glass of fluoridated water supply is the same as in a pea sized amount of fluoridated toothpaste. The toothpaste says if you accidentally swallow it, you should call poison control. Then we are told it is so safe we can drink and bathe in it without limit or effect. That doesn't make sense. If anyone believes the fluoride propaganda that it is good for teeth, make a product that they can voluntarily use....like say the toothpaste that is already on the market with the WARNINGS. Don't subject entire populations involuntarily to consume a known poison unawares. It astounds me that this has been done for so long with faulty and intentionally deceptive science for disposing of a toxic by product and to prevent those harmed by fluoride exposure from seeking recourse.

do the research

Anyone advocating fluoride in the public water supply needs to spend 5 minutes of effort to learn why it's not only NOT a good idea but why it's absolutely proven harmful to the human body. Fluoride is a poison, pure and simple. The most recent studies (not funded by the industries that produce fluoride as a toxic waste mind you) have shown that it's not only harmful, but has no effect on tooth health. Read the history, not of naturally occurring fluoride, but the waste product that's being added to water supplies. Having it added to the public water supplies is at the least negligent and at the worst criminal with the research data available today. I bet that most dentists that advocate fluoride use would also have no qualms about using amalgam fillings or doing root canals without explaining the risks. Two more subjects that are worth the five minutes it would take to do the research on.

I say no

I grew up drinking well water with no added fluoride and I've worn braces for 6 years. My teeth are in perfect condition and I only brush 1 time a day. I don't see how it can be said that Fluoride is a great must have additive to our water. I've moved into a city to attend college and I notice that the water has a 'thick' texture and after ingesting it I become ill. My father who has lived in the city for the last 7 years has his immune system attacking his own body and no doctor knows why. This problem just developed when he moved to the city and started drinking the water. My eldest brother was also allergic to the water; it made his skin break out in a horrible rash even though he was constantly trying different moisturizers. His skin condition only got better when he moved out of the city. I hate the fluoride in the water and I wish I had the choice to have it put in there in the first place.

Personal choice

Since Fluoride has been in our water for so long now, why don't we make a change, remove it from our water system and whoever wants it to be in their water can get some kind of Fluoride water system for their own home. See now we are all happy !

Fluoride is Poison!

Fluoridation of public drinking water is one of the most remarkable, widespread, dangerous deceptions ever conceived. It is astounding that our own government managed to convince the public that fluoride, a known toxin, was actually good for us and then proceeded to add it to our public drinking water supplies! Although the government was well aware of the toxicity of fluoride, and had no real data supporting any benefits of fluoride, fluoride was nonetheless added to our public water supplies. And it doesn't stop; fluoride is now being added to bottled water, even baby water. A dentist actually told my wife and I that she would no longer see our daughter because we refused fluoride treatments. Kicked us out of her practice! How bizarre is that? And there is STILL no compelling data supporting the benefits of fluoride. To the contrary, reports show that fluoride is harmful. You don't have to be a genius to realize something's very wrong here.

As John Stossel would say 'gimme a break

These anecdotal stories about 'my friend had non-fluoridinated water and her teeth are bad" - I had fluoride in my water growing up and my teeth are good... what's that prove?? Really? It could be that that friend wasn't as attentive to his teeth's hygiene as you... OR it could be genetics.... Come on! MY brother and I grew up in the same household..drank the same water...and his teeth hygiene is HORRIBLE... he has never had a cavity and I have 5-6 growing up... Wake up ppl... and think for yourself...

say no to too much fluoride

fluoride is mainly use to protect you from cavities when u go to the dentist but putting fluoride in the water can cause you to get fluorisis and make u get stains in ur teeth this happens when you over use fluoride. fluoride is bad when you over use it so no it should not be put in water

flouridation in the water

Fluoridation is killing us slowly. It enters your system and dulls the system that later forms dementia.

Dentist opposes fluoridation

Those promoting fluoridation simply refuse to read the current research showing it is ineffective and dangerous to health. Go to (www.fluoridealert.org) and read several scientific articles. Read the letter from Dr. Hardy Limeback ( DDS, PhD Biochemistry) --- Head, Preventive Dentistry, University of Toronto entitled "Why I am now officially opposed to adding fluoride to drinking water" He was the principal research advisor to the Canadian Dental Asociation for over 10 years in promoting fluoridation. His letter is an apology to other dentists and the public. Dr. Limeback includes over 140 Research studies, including: Increased risk of bone cancer -- 13 studies Lead, arsenic, radium contaminants causing toxic water -- 10 studies Link with fluoride and other cancer -- 12 studies Fluoride causes birth defects -- 5 Fluoride affects the immune systems -- 12 Fluoride is neurotoxic (brain, nerves, lowering IQ) -- 11 E

Fluoridation is a hoax

Europe is now 98% fluoride free. They and most of the world caught on to this fluoridation hoax years ago. Adding fluoride to drinking water is an absolute waste of money. People only drink 1/2 % of the water they use. The remaining 99 1/2% simply goes down the drain. I guess we expect government programs to be inefficient and wasteful, but this sets a new low in waste of taxpayers money. Giving away fluoride tablets free to whoever wants them would be much cheaper. The only benefits of putting it in drinking water go to the industries which can sell their toxic waste fluoride to communities. When the fertilitzer companies, and others, clean their smokestacks, they bag the waste fluoride chemical, ( Hydrofluorosilicic Acid), which contains lead, mercury, arsenic, etc. and sell it to communities to add to our water systems. The Government tries to convince us that it does not harm us if it is diluted enough, but hundreds of research studies prove otherwise.

Think!

I believe fluoride should be added. The reasoning is that although unnatural, the food we eat is too (battery farms/pesticides etc) are used frequently. Also, by incorporating fluoride within the diet has proved from a young age to make the teeth rounded rather then grooved, reducing surface area for bacteria to attach and cause decay!

Fluoride Shoved Down Our Throats

Anyone who advocates that everyone else should be forced to ingest fluoride just because they want to is little other than a dictator. People need to learn to defend their freedom especially when it comes to others wanting to force things into their mouths or bloodstream. There has never been proof that those in fluoridated areas had better teeth than those who didn't. Look around you. Everyone in your fluoride-drinking area will have a mouthful of cavities. Worse yet, those in fluoridated areas will have brittle teeth that will break easily after they turn 50. Teeth were meant by nature to be somewhat supple -- not hard and brittle as glass (along with your bones which will also be brittle in old age.) We get fluoride from so many foods and medicines today we are at far more risk of severe poisoning than underdose. See the many ways in which we are exposed to fluoride. You may be surprised. http://www.change-it.biz/water/fluoride-exposure.htm

Poisoned Babies

Fluoride if it works at all works topically so there is no reason to put it in drinking water. Every medical and dental organization acknowledges that a baby on a bottle will be grossly overdosed with fluoridated tap water. WHY is it OK to poison poor peoples babies who cannot afford pure water for their infants? For dose and details watch on YouTube presentation by myself and Dr. Thiessen an expert on the Fluoride MCLG committee of the National Research Council.

fluoride

Fluoride should not be added to drinking water as fluoride is present in various food stuffs that we eat. Excess of fluoride can have adverse effects on our body including teeth and bones. So,to get anti carious activity of fluoride, topical form should be used.
