Research has proved a connection between gum disease and diabetes. Diabetics are more prone to gum disease, thus creating a direct affect on their blood glucose level, because the body is fighting off the infection caused by the presence of the gum disease.

If you are diabetic, do you have a hard time controlling your gum disease? Are you seen by your dentist more frequently as a result from your diabetes? Did gum disease lead to your diagnosis as a diabetic?

Gum Disease

I have experienced gum problem for many years. I am now 41 years old and recently I had a high blood sugar test that was 22, I have managed to control it to 12 through diet but I was shocked to learn that periodontal disease could cause diabetes. I would like to learn more about this because its happening to me.
